Delivering the Word of God to the Maasai

By Davar Partners

Maasai Bible Engagement

In partnership with the Bible Society of Kenya and Kivah, we delivered solar devices loaded with Davar’s audio bible recording to the the Maasai in their home language. This is the first time many will have the opportunity to experience the fullness of scripture in a language they can understand. Due to the Maasai’s nomadic lifestyle and high illiteracy rates the audio bible will be a powerful resources to help these oral learners understand the Word of God.

Please watch this short video to learn more about the impact the audio bible will have on the Maasai people.

About the Maasai

They have international recognition, because of their proximity to national parks and reserves in Kenya and northern Tanzania; but that’s about as far as most engagement tends to reach.

They are a semi-nomadic, indigenous ethnic group of 900,000 estimated people. Literacy ranges from 5% – 20%, depending on gender and region.
