21 days of prayer and fasting*

We would ask you to consider joining in a 21 day Daniel Fast. The idea of the Daniel Fast is to honor God above everything else. Why fast? The aim of a Daniel Fast is to grow closer to God. Daniel Fasts usually are called when extraordinary needs are in front of you.

We believe extraordinary times are upon us and for that we need clarity of mind. We need a more sharpened awareness of God and what God is doing throughout the earth. We believe fasting results in a greater intimacy with the Father. At this time in history we see the tasks before us as nothing more than an “only God can do” time. The concept of the fast comes from Daniel 1:8-14, “But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine. . .” The backstory to this is in 2 Kings 24:13-14.

As we prepare and move into the 21 days, we want everyone to understand that no matter what degree or physical mode your time of fasting takes on, it is all worthy and all needed. Each one brings their part and portion. Praise be to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Thank you for joining in this united time of prayer.

We are calling you to join in this extended time of prayer and fasting during the time frame of July 11th-31st, 2016.

Looking to God for clarity and purpose for those connected to ION and for those who are even now being prepared by God to be a part into the future. We know many more voices are needing to be heard in the orchestra of orality across the face of the globe. We also are asking for the identification of trumpet blowers, those who are and will advocate for oral peoples, mobilizers in the different areas associated with orality. Believing for new and solid Gateways to be open now and into the future for the sake of taking the gospel to where there are those who still wait. Praying for Scripture in the every and all, for full Bibles and no more Bible Poverty. For accelerated methods and accurate Bible translation for all those mother tongue and heart languages that still do not have ONE VERSE. Praying for Gateway Leaders in all 7 focus areas/gateways. Praying for those involved in orality to be fully immersed in Bible Engagement daily. To maintain the centrality of all we do to be the Bible -the WORD.

We are linking together in a united call of agreement for what the Lord says as the Waymaker in Isaiah 43:16-19, He who made a way. . . He is even now making a way in the desert wilderness and streams and rivers in the wasteland.
