We are asking you to step in together to see what God is doing and how we can come alongside each other for the sake of those who still wait… Linking in a “two way discussion/prayer format” as Prayer Teams, so that together we might see an invisible, yet tangible platform from which the “need” can go forth to every prayer group across the globe to be involved in praying for those who still wait to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are asking and persistently prevailing to the Lord that He would connect us in such a way.
We are looking for others who are willing to collaborate, to see the reality of prayer come forth to bring an understanding of current LOSTNESS around the globe. Both in your individual region and nation, and also in other “ends of the earth” areas. We are also asking for a larger network of prayer leaders who can come together to see what is it going to take to get to ZERO, and who want to help others to put a larger priority on prayer. And allow everyone to be able to pray in a more united way for the unreached of the globe.
It is estimated that of the 7.3 billion people alive in the world today, 1.2 to 1.4 billion have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. According to Joshua Project.net there are approximately 16,000 unique people groups in the world with about 6,600 of them considered unreached. The vast majority (95%) of these least reached groups exist in the 10/40 window and are oral people groups.
In praying for the Oral & Oral Bible-less, we want to pray not only to make just a convert but a disciple of Jesus. At a heart level, to make disciples it requires the Scriptures to be available in mother tongue languages. There is a gap at the current time in who has access to Scripture. Pray with us that Every & All People Groups might have full and complete Bibles.
DID YOU KNOW?
Across the globe in 2017, there are less than 800 Full Bibles available?
Of those translations, 178 are English versions... That leaves 1,671 languages that do NOT HAVE ONE VERSE OF SCRIPTURE.
We ask you to pray with us at International Orality Network for the Father to "close the gap" and pray as well toward getting to ZERO languages with NO Scripture. There are 1,002 languages with NO Written Scripture, and 1,653 languages with NO Oral Scripture (audio or digitized) and while we have some resources available in portions of Scripture or Scripture type resources, there are still 469 languages that do not have ANY resources available (such as Gospel recordings, songs, or oral Bible stories).
Focus for prayer:
1,671 number of language groups currently DO NOT HAVE ONE VERSE
Currently there are less than 800 FULL Bibles available around the globe. Currently the 4.2.20 Foundation reports: 6,500+ out of 7,102 Languages still require translation of the Old Testament.
[4.2.20 Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing access and engagement with the whole Word of God for every language, culture & people.]
Finishing the Task (FTT) allows you to download the most current listing of people groups that will show those with NO SCRIPTURE: http://www.finishingthetask.com/uupgs.php?sort=Country
Wycliffe Bible Translators reports that of the approximately 6,800+ living languages across the world today, about 1,691 have definite translation needs. That means for mother-tongue speakers of those 1,671 languages no Scripture exists at all. They may have limited access in trade or major languages, but no access in their heart language. Of course, the languages with the larger number of speakers have been translated but even many millions do not have the Scriptures in their mother-tongue.
We invite you to join to pray and fast as the Lord might lead for God to "close the gap" and bring Scripture to the Every & All all around the globe.
